The Original Pottawattamie County Fair has been a cornerstone of Pottawattamie County since 1896 — 130 years of agriculture, entertainment, and community under the same Pottawattamie County sky. More than a week of events, the fair is where communities from across the county come together, where kids learn responsibility and leadership through livestock and exhibits, and where every participant gets a chance to stand out. From daily livestock shows and static exhibits to grandstand entertainment, food trucks, camping, and family activities, the fair has something for all ages. Our facilities continue to grow and modernize, but the small-town pride and welcoming atmosphere that have defined this fair for over a century remain at its heart.
